    Dieter Zetsche | 60, Chairman of the Board of Management, Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars

    Dr. Dieter Zetsche has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since December 16, 1998, and Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since January 1, 2006. He is also Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Division which includes passenger cars of the brands Mercedes-Benz and smart as well as Mercedes-Benz AMG.

    Dr. Zetsche was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 5, 1953. After attending school in Frankfurt and obtaining the Abitur (university entrance examination), he studied electrical engineering from 1971 to 1976 at the University of Karlsruhe and graduated as an engineer. He joined the research department of the then Daimler-Benz AG in 1976 and became assistant to the Development Manager in the Commercial Vehicles business unit in 1981.

    Dr. Zetsche completed a doctorate in engineering in 1982 at the University of Paderborn. From 1984, as part of the Daimler-Benz Commercial Vehicles Management Development Team, he was responsible for the coordination of international development activities.

    Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since February 18, 2010. In this function, he is Head of Daimler Trucks Division since April 1, 2013.

    Dr. Bernhard was born on September 3, 1960, in Boehen, Germany. 1980 he started his studies at the Technical University of Darmstadt and finished with a master degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics in 1986.

    From 1987 to 1988, he studied at Columbia University in New York and graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). From 1988 to 1990, he completed a doctorate on International Exchange Rate Risks at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. Dr. Bernhard joined the then Mercedes-Benz AG in 1994.

    From February 2005 to January 2007 Dr. Bernhard was a member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG.

    Dr. Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since February 16, 2011, with responsibility for Integrity and Legal Affairs.

    This Board of Management position includes the Daimler Group’s Legal Department, Compliance Organization and Data Protection Department. It is also responsible for respecting and protecting human rights and for the sustained anchoring of a corporate culture of integrity throughout the Group.

    Dr. Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt was born in Leipzig on April 30, 1950. She studied law in Tübingen and completed her studies with the second state examination in 1975. In the same year, she became a lecturer in social law at the University of Hamburg.
     
    Dr. Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt completed her doctorate in law at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in 1979.

    Wilfried Porth has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since April 8, 2009, and is responsible for Human Resources. He is also Director of Labor Relations of the company.     Wilfried Porth was born in Baden-Baden on February 2, 1959. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 1981 to 1985 and graduated as an engineer. He joined the department Central Production Engineering as a Planning Engineer of the then Daimler-Benz AG in 1985.

    Andreas Renschler was a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since October 1, 2004. In this function, he was responsible for Manufacturing and Procurement Mercedes-Benz and the business unit Mercedes-Benz Vans since April 1, 2013. Andreas Renschler left the company of his own accord and by mutual consent on January 28, 2014.

    Andreas Renschler was born on March 29, 1958 in Stuttgart, Germany. After obtaining the Fachhochschulreife (Technical College entrance examination), he studied Economic Engineering and graduated from Technical College Esslingen (1979 to 1983). From 1984 to 1987, he studied at Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen where he obtained an MBA. In 1988 he joined the then Daimler-Benz AG at Organization and Data Processing department.

    Hubertus Troska has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since December 13, 2012. In this function, he is responsible for China activities.

    Mr. Troska was born on March 25, 1960, in Bilbao, Spain. After attending school in Osnabrück and Mexico-City and obtaining Abitur (university entrance examination) at Alexander von Humboldt school in Mexico he studied economies/English/Spanish from 1978 to 1983 (including 1 semester at the University of Wales) and graduated as a Language Expert for English. Until 1984 he attended postgraduate courses in Business Administration at the same University. After 4 years in the construction industry Mr. Troska joined the then Daimler-Benz AG in 1988.

    Prof. Dr. Weber was born in Scharnhausen on May 26, 1954. Following technical training at the then Daimler-Benz AG, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart and graduated as an engineer in 1980. He was later employed as a Scientific Associate at the University of Stuttgart and the Fraunhofer Institute. He completed a doctorate in 1987 at the University of Stuttgart and joined the then Daimler-Benz AG in the same year. In 2010 he was appointed as Honorary Professor by the University of Stuttgart.
